Solinas Technologies Launches International Distributor Network for SonicFinder™ 1000

Acoustic locating technology now more accessible for buried plastic and non-metallic infrastructure across North America and Asia-Pacific

AIRDRIE, Alberta, Canada — August 6th, 2026 — Solinas Technologies today announced the establishment of a growing distributor network supporting the SonicFinder™ 1000, its acoustic locating system for buried plastic and other non-metallic pipes.

The growing network unites established utility equipment and locating specialists across North America and Australia, giving utilities, contractors and locating professionals greater access to product demonstrations, sales support, training and local expertise.

Solinas distributors include long-standing partners such as BATCO, Eastcom, Southwest Valve & Equipment and Locating Unlimited in Australia, as well as new partners including Cansel, Core & Main, Subsurface Solutions and Frontier Precision. Together, these organizations provide Solinas with an expanding presence across major utility and infrastructure markets.

The SonicFinder 1000 was developed to help locate buried PVC, HDPE and other non-metallic pipes without relying on tracer wire or direct access to the interior of the pipe. The portable system transmits a controlled acoustic signal, allowing operators to trace the path of buried infrastructure from above ground.

Non-metallic pipe presents an ongoing challenge for utilities and damage prevention professionals because traditional electromagnetic locating equipment requires a conductive material to carry a signal. Missing tracer wire, incomplete records and aging infrastructure can leave operators without a reliable way to confirm the position of an underground asset.

Solinas designed the SonicFinder 1000 as a practical field solution for water utilities, gas utilities, municipalities, contractors and professional locating teams working with difficult-to-locate infrastructure.
